We share these trends and averages for our customers and breeders in the Longhorn Industry who could better their programs by analyzing it as it best suites them. 2026 BLUEGRASS SALE RESULTS:

    • 54 out of 57 lots sold for an unofficial total of $247,250 and unofficial average of $4,578
    •  There was 1 scratch and 2 POs 
    •  Top 10 lots average: $10,175
    •  Top 25 lots average: $6,720
    •  With this being the 4th sale of 2026 to be included in our Hired Hand Live Trends & Averages series, the 2026 Annual Average to date is $11,746.12 
    • The sale average without the highest lot ($27,000) and the lowest lot ($1,750) included is $4,201

 

Sale Averages Based on Age: 

    • 0-2 year olds: $3,776 (25 head)  
    • 3-5 year olds: $4,666 (15 head) 
    • 6-10 year olds: $5,914 (14 head)  
    • 11+ YO: $1,100 Insufficient Data (0 head)
